The design of the Mobil 70 Pendant, by Monika Mulder for Pholc, began with this challenge: “Give me a lamp that will look great in a New York loft”! Using metal tubes and globes of opal glass, Mulder thought of the typical New York balcony railings in black metal and the round streetlights on the Brooklyn Bridge. “Working with these ingredients, the fixture came to life,” she notes. Available in brushed brass, matte black or matte nickel finishes on the metal, this fixture is like a mobile when it is turned.
